This is a free virtual meeting where parents with kids 0-7+ come to talk about the learning they do in their home with their kids, talk about homeschooling— the legals and what they are currently doing to educate their little ones whether through play, structured learning or curriculum. Come with questions or to see what it is all about! This is open discussion and there is rarely an agenda.

Happy Earth Day event! What better way than to spend it learning about nature close to home. We will meet at the visitor center and then will be taking a walk along the fence trail (as suggested by the park staff for little ones). The walk is not stroller friendly. There is a fee to park! This playdate will start inside the nature center and then if the weather permits we will be taking a walk. We encourage you to bring wipes and a snack as we tend to stop at one rest area on the walk to have a break! Walkers and Carried babies will work on this trail. This is a hosted playdate by Goldfish Swim School of Colonie. This is an OPEN SWIM event— children of any age are welcome. We publicize hosted playdates only. This will be our first ever playdate party! Come as you are and get ready to mingle with other moms and kids while we decorate cookies. This may be the most unique cookie decorating party you have been to. Wear your Christmas sweaters!! (think Christmas trees, gingerbread men etc). The event will cost $5 a family.

We are very excited to be hosted by Albany Pine Bush Preserve’s education programming! On December 4th 2023 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM we will be learning about HIBERNATION. The program is called “sleeping sleeping all winter long” and the activity is geared towards preschoolers. There are limited spots and added siblings/toddlers count in those spots! We have 9 spots available (check our instagram for updates). We are allowed 15 kids total. We will be learning about hibernation and venturing outside to look around the Pine Bush! After we have a space reserved where we can have our snack/lunch (bring your own!). Reserve your spot and we will send you along information on how to prepare for this event.

This is a virtual event and you do NOT need to be local to attend. In this meeting we talk about our hopes and challenges with homeschooling, we discuss curriculum and lessons we have done etc. We lean on one another and SUPPORT one another during our homeschooling journey. This playdate is at a nature center preserve. We will be exploring their museum during this playdate. If the weather is good and we are clothing prepared we will venture out on a nature trail for a walk together. This event does not require an RSVP.

This is our first ever partnership playdate! We are partnering with Goldfish Swim School to have open swim November 13th from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. There will be open swim, a snack and small craft. This playdate REQUIRES a RSVP to attend as there is a limit to the amount of people allowed in the pool during this time. Please plan accordingly. Life Jackets are required. Join us at a local farm to see the animals. There is a $5 donation to the farm to visit with the animals. There is also a playground there. This playdate is free to attend and will begin at opening which is 11AM. Please get on our email list for information on the location.
